Students from BG jetted off to France and Spain this summer, as part of the ever-evolving BG study abroad program. A wonderful experience for students, Principal Donnelly explained that, the “uniqueness of a high school student being able to study abroad really invests in their education beyond the traditional classroom.”

This is the first year BG students have had the option to travel to Spain, with five taking advantage of the opportunity after a member of the faculty initiated the trip. Previously, France has been the main destination for BG students traveling abroad, thanks to a collaboration with Saint Francis University in Ambialet.

While abroad, students are required to complete three college credits. For many, it’s their first time out of the country, and not only an academic milestone, but also a personal one, with many calling the experience “life-changing.”

Are you a student, parent or faculty member with a study abroad destination in mind? Principal Donnelly says she’s open to new destinations being offered as part of the program. In the meantime, check out photos from this year’s trips!
